I'm Taurus M. James. For over 20 years I've made moody, cinematic instrumental music - hip-hop soul, smooth jazz, neo-soul, reflective piano tracks. Every beat is part of a real life story. Every track has helped someone feel less alone.
Right now the focus is teens and young adults - especially young Black men and women - who feel lost, pressured, or ready to quit. Teenage suicide is rising. I believe encouraging music can be one thing that helps a young person choose the next step instead of ending it.
That's why most tracks are free or name-your-price. No paywalls on music that can save a life.
Free music isn't free to make or host. Servers, storage, distribution, mastering, equipment, and keeping the full catalog online cost real money every month. I'm not asking for a fortune - just enough to cover expenses so I can keep creating without stopping.
